Are honey, agave, maple syrup, and molasses acceptable sweeteners?

No. They are loaded with fructose and cause a spike in insulin levels and a rush of dopamine in the nucleus accumbens. They also trigger the sweet taste buds that link to the addictive centers in the brain. Anything that is added to food to make it taste sweeter should be avoided, including honey, agave, maple syrup, molasses, and any other kind of sweetener.
