Hummus is fine. It counts as a protein serving.
4 oz. = 1 protein serving for women
6 oz. = 1 protein serving for men
If you make your own hummus without oil or tahini, you can bump the portions up to the same serving size as beans. In that case, 6 oz. would be 1 protein serving for both women and men.
Ground beans (hummus) do not spike insulin, and therefore are an acceptable Bright Line Eating food.
Hummus made with tahini and/or oil can also be used as a 2 oz. fat serving.
