Can I have miso?

1 – 2 teaspoons of miso can be used as a condiment.

It can also be a protein serving—4 oz. for women and 6 oz. for men. It’s helpful to keep it in the house and can be used to “top up” your protein servings if you’re eating up leftovers and don’t quite have enough protein to make a full serving. Eating a full 4 oz. (or 6 oz.) would be ridiculously salty and is not recommended.   

Miso is very high in sodium, so if you are watching your sodium, it should be used sparingly.
