As a general rule in Bright Line Eating, we don’t recommend protein powders.
Bright Line Eating really encourages you to get your nutritional needs, as well as satiety, from whole unprocessed foods whenever possible.
One context in which a protein shake might make sense is if you lift weights. Intense resistance training produces maximal results with a pre- and post-workout shake including a pure protein powder and a readily-absorbed form of carbohydrate (like a banana). To see if this works for you, towards the end of the Boot Camp, apply the Four Questions found in Module 7. If you score on the high end of the Susceptibility Scale, it is not recommended to have protein powders.
