How do you schedule meals/adjust for time zone differences when flying to the West Coast?

I just eat my breakfast, lunch, and dinner as per usual, and space my meals out as it feels right to me.
I personally prefer to eat on the early side, so what I usually do is eat breakfast at my normal time (even though it’s around 3 a.m. California time), followed by lunch at my usual time (even though it’s around 9 a.m. California time), and then tough it out until dinner time in California. However, I know plenty of people who prefer to hold off on eating their first meal of the day until closer to 10 or 11 a.m. East Coast time, and then space out their meals every 5-6 hours from there.
