While Susan was initially losing weight she weighed monthly, and then when she hit maintenance she transitioned to weekly weighing for many years. These days she weighs herself daily. We have members of the Bright Line Eating community who weigh themselves daily, weekly, monthly…or even never.
Your decision of how often to weigh yourself should come from your relationship with the scale—do you want to tackle the inevitable challenges to your psyche when the scale disappoints you, or does not show you the numbers you may want to see? Numerous people in Bright Line Eating simply decided to deal with this aspect of the weight loss journey on an ongoing basis. Others find it to be more of a challenge and, therefore, weigh less often.
