Absolutely. Many successful Bright Line Eaters have Hashimoto’s and other forms of thyroid disease and are highly successful. Of course, it’s possible that your thyroid disorder will slow your weight loss. Not necessarily, though. If you do find your weight loss is slow (or nonexistent), you may need to be on a lighter food plan than the standard Weight Loss Food Plan. Make sure you’re not having starchy vegetables or heavy proteins. We definitely recommend you get your thyroid checked, and make sure your doctor is testing T3 and reverse T3 levels. Trust the program and be patient. Not all people who have thyroid issues have slow weight loss, but for those who do, squeaky clean Bright Lines, lots of support, some coaching where necessary, and patient experimentation are the keys.
