If you can tolerate berries, I think the best thing would be to have 6 oz. of berries for your fruit at breakfast. Berries are incredibly healthy and the variety, plus the antioxidant punch, will be wonderful for your system. However, you could certainly substitute 6 oz. of vegetables for your breakfast fruit, if you and your doctor think it would be best. Produce is produce.
As for the grain, if your doctor wants you to eliminate it, you can substitute one serving of fat or ½ of an extra serving of protein instead.
