What does Susan mean when she says, “Produce is produce?”

When Susan talks about produce, she’s referring to fruits and vegetables. When it comes to vegetables, she is trying to convey that it doesn’t matter whether you eat them cooked or raw. If you’re eating out, you can also have vegetables instead of fruit (for example, having roughly 12 oz. of vegetables at lunch). If you’re home and have both fruit and vegetables in the house, she does not recommend swapping vegetables for fruit, and she never recommends having fruit instead of vegetables.
