Grains will really slow (or halt) weight loss, so they need to be kept very minimal during the weight loss phase. Grains are consumed at breakfast only because that’s what I was taught to do and it really works… I’m not sure if there’s a scientific reason for it, but what others have suggested makes sense (get the fuel on board early in the day). Mainly, we just need to be eating grains sparsely, if at all, to get the weight off. Once we’re down at goal weight we get to eat grain at all three meals. Patience, patience…it’s coming!
